Common useFulvicin is an antifungal medication which used to treat fungal infections of the skin, hair, and nails such as jock itch, athlete's foot, and barber's itch. Use it alone or with other drugs that are applied to the skin for fungus infections.
Dosage and direction
Consult with your doctor before using. Use no more than was prescribed. Shake well before using. Take it orally once a day or divided into smaller doses, as determined by your doctor. Take with a high fat meal if you want to get more benefits.
The recommended dose for children 2 years and older is 10-20 mg/kg/day in single or 2 divided doses or micro-size 5-10 mg/kg/day in single or 2 divided doses.
The recommended dose for adults is 330-375 mg/day in single or divided doses; doses up to 750 mg/day have been used for infections more difficult to eradicate such as tinea unguium.
It is usually taken during several weeks for skin infections, during the month for hair and scalp infections, during two moths for foot infections, 3 to 4 months for fingernail infections, and at least 6 months for toenail infections.

Precautions
Before using Fulvicin tell your doctor if you are allergic to griseofulvin, penicillin, or any other drugs. Fulvicin may make your skin sensitive to sunlight, so you should wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Fulvicin may increase the effects of alcohol. Taken Fulvicin with alcohol may cause fast heartbeat, increased sweating, flushing, or redness of the face. Therefore, if you have this reaction, do not drink alcoholic beverages while you are taking this medicine, unless you have first checked with your doctor.This medication hould not be used during pregnancy, becoming pregnancy or lactating. Do not use Fulvicin before breast-feeding without doctor's permission.
Contraindications
Fulvicin is not allowed in persons with hepatic disease, porphyries, systemic lupus erythematosus, lupus syndrome, system blood diseases, organic diseases of liver and kidneys, malignant neoformations or pregnancy.
Possible side effect
They may include an allergic reactions like skin rash or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue. Also the most possible side effects include:
breathing problems
confusion
dark urine
fever or infection
loss of appetite
pain, tingling, numbness in the hands or feet
skin rash, redness, blistering, or peeling of skin
sores or whites patches in the mouth
unusually weak or tired
yellowing of the eyes or skin
Less serious include:
dizziness
headache
nausea, vomiting
stomach pain
trouble sleeping
If you experience one of them stop using Serevent and tell your doctor as soon as possible. Also consult with your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual.
Drug interaction
Fulvicin interact with the follow drugs: desogestrel; ethinyl Estradiol; etonogestrel; levonorgestrel; mestranol; norelgestromin; norethindrone; norgestrel; phenobarbital; warfarin. Also note that interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. As usual it affects the the effect of drugs, so consult with your doctor about how it interactions are being managed or should be managed.
Missed dose
If you forgot to take your dose in time, please do it as soon as you remember. But do not take if it is too late or almost time for your next dose. Do not increase your recommended dose. Take your usually dose next day in the same regularly time.
Overdose
Symptoms of Fulvicin overdose are not known well but most possible include: lethargy, vertigo, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you experience one of them or any unusual symptoms call your doctor immediately.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 20-25 C (68-77 F).
